This TIE variant was developed in response to The Empire's expansion into The Outer Rim. In the rough territory, The Imperial Navy experienced more frequent attacks than they initially expected. The considerable distance of The Outer Rim compounded The Empire's problems with extended tours of service and less opportunity for reinforcement. The TIE Brute was equipped with heavier weapons and given much stronger armor allowing it to more adequately defend itself and deal deadlier blows. 

This model can seat two minifigure pilots and has a display stand design.
